Director of Infusion Operations & Revenue Optimization
We are seeking a senior, highly analytical leader to own the financial, operational, and growth performance of our infusion center. This role is responsible for optimizing drug acquisition costs, maximizing payer reimbursement, ensuring billing accuracy, and driving profitable growth of infusion services.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate drug pricing, rebates, admin fees, and contract terms with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors; maintain strong vendor relationships
Optimize drug purchasing using pricing tiers, rebates, utilization trends, payer mix, and cost benchmarks (ASP, WAC, acquisition cost)
Evaluate new infusion drugs and services for financial viability prior to adoption
Analyze payer contracts and reimbursement to ensure alignment with negotiated rates and protect margins
Identify and resolve underpayments; audit billing accuracy, coding, claims, denials, and unpaid balances
Serve as the internal expert on infusion reimbursement and financial strategy
Build and maintain financial models including P&L by drug, payer profitability, referral performance, and cost vs. reimbursement
Forecast infusion volume and drug purchasing needs; reconcile rebates and pricing adjustments quarterly
Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting to ownership
Drive infusion growth through referral development, payer mix analysis, and strategic partnerships
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to ensure financially sound and scalable operations
Develop systems and processes to improve financial accuracy, transparency, and accountability
Act as a trusted advisor to ownership on infusion center strategy and expansion
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in infusion center operations, specialty pharmacy, oncology, neurology infusion, or hospital outpatient infusion
Demonstrated experience with:
Buy-and-bill drug economics
Rebate and pricing structures
Payer reimbursement analysis
Distributor and manufacturer contracting
Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (financial modeling, pivot tables, reconciliation
Experience negotiating directly with pharmaceutical companies and distributors
Background in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, or managed care contracting
Prior responsibility for infusion P&L or service line profitability
CPA, MBA, or healthcare finance training (preferred, not required)
Schedule and Work environment
We have a beautiful 3300 SF class A office building and suite with oak floors, glass walls, a large infusion room consisting of 6 beautiful leather recliners, 2 private infusion suites, and 8 Zyno pumps
We have one provider, Susan Anzalone, MD who will oversee all work
Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekends and evenings are optional and would be eligible for overtime. No hospital call, nights or weekend work required.
Compensation and benefits
$120,000-$180,000 per year
Full time employees are eligible for 401k with 3% match an eafter just 6 months of employment
